Katie Storey, Principal, Twilight Academic Program (TAP): Will provide an overview of the successful E1B - TAP Program; A cost-effective option to alternative education; Designed for Regents bound students who are under-credited and/or who may benefit from an alternate high school placement.
9:15-9:50:
Beth Gerardi, Regional Governor, New York State School Counselor Association: Will present on the proposed SED Regulations, changes, and requirements to - District School Counseling Programs which will impact all NY State School Districts beginning in the 2017-2018 school year.
9:50-10:25:
ECC Nanotechnology Program: Nanotechnology - is engineering at the atomic length scale, a size range which until recently was only available to nature. The program is designed to help prepare students from a broad range of disciplines for careers in fields involving Nanotechnology.
10:25-10:30: - 5 Minute Break
10:25-11:00:
ECC Green Technology Program: Donald Lee, Professor ECC Building Maintenance and Management and Green Building Technology. Green Jobs are well-paid, career-track jobs that contribute directly to preserving or enhancing environmental quality. Such jobs are arising because of the need to address global warming pollution caused by burning fossil fuels, and also because of the need to develop sources of clean, renewable energy, like wind, solar and geothermal.
